IN911 is a statewide ESi-Net (Emergency Services InterNetwork) this is a specialized type of IP (Internet Protocol) network connecting all primary PSAPs throughout the state. Its primary purpose is to deliver 911 calls throughout the state. Over time, the network has grown to include the delivery of text services, IDACS, wireline 911, CAD, database and disaster recovery systems as the needs of local 911 authorities have changed.

IN911 is a large scale state program that has routed over 40 million emergency requests since 2006. The network uses evolving standards and best practices recommended by the FCC, NENA, APCO, and ATIS.
